Hazel Grace Lancaster, a 16-year-old with thyroid malignant growth that has spread to her lungs, goes to a disease understanding care group at her mom’s command. The following day, Augustus admits to Hazel that his malignancy has returned. The two attest their adoration and backing for each other. Upon their arrival to Indianapolis, Augustus’ wellbeing exacerbates and he winds up in the ICU for a couple of days. Dreading his demise, Augustus welcomes Isaac and Hazel to his pre-memorial service, where they give tributes. Augustus passes on before long, leaving Hazel devastated. Van Houten appears at Augustus’ burial service to apologize to Hazel, yet Hazel doesn’t excuse him.
